Hi team.

I have a domain controller running Win Server 2019 and have attempted to fix this a few different ways.
1. Manual install
2. DISM restore health - with source
3. SFC /Scannow
4. Uninstall all cumulative updates up till last successful install (incase of corruption) and tried updating again.
5. Disk clean up with the update service off to try clean out old updates.
6. Some others I can't remember.

I have attached all the items requested in the welcome email including the FRST logs.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I have added the ComponentScanner.txt file. The instructions included in the welcome notice didn't include this. I have also added the CBS folder separately (was included in the original zip)

Hi Maxstar,

Thank you for this.
I have run the SFCFix and allowed to complete with reboot.
The DISM was successful:

Image Version: 10.0.17763.107

[==========================100.0%==========================] The restore operation completed successfully.
The operation completed successfully.

However, still no success with the update which failed with error "0x800f0982"

See SFCFix.txt attached.

Thanks in advance.

Upload your COMPONENTS hive.

Tried both via windows update and manual update. Did not work either way.
Attached the SFCFix txt. The CBS was too big, so here is the wetransfer link:
CBS latest.zip

Thank you in advance.

Hi there.

It seems that the update worked half way. It got to the restart option.
When hitting Restart, I got this message:

"We're having trouble restarting to finish the install. Try again in a little while. If you keep seeing this, try searching the web or contacting support for help. This error code might help: (0x80070005)"
Is it safe to restart manually?
I have uploaded the CBS logs and SFCFix.txt via wetransfer.
SFCFix.txt

Thanks in advance

Yes, please restart the server manually and check the Windows window to see if another error is displayed or not.

The reboot was fine, but now its stuck on boot, "Working on update. 100% complete. Do not turn off your computer"
Its been like this for 15 minutes.

Im a little worried that its stuck here.

Please wait a bit longer (a couple of hours), this process including removing older updates could take some time. So don't restart the system until it will rollback the update by itself.
