Hi,

All of the attached DMP files are all from March or earlier, is that just the last time this system has been booted? We have various different bugchecks here. Given the type of bugchecks they are, I am assuming we are dealing with a hardware issue so we'll hold off on software diagnostics for now.

For reference, just take a look at the system uptime on these dumps:

System Uptime: 0 days 0:03:43.106

System Uptime: 0 days 0:10:44.807

System Uptime: 0 days 0:06:57.802

Not long at all...

KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)

The processor identified a problem, but Windows was unable to deal with it.
This problem can appear when one of these issues occurs:

  • Low disk space in the primary system drive
  • A driver bug (which may be identified in the message).
  • Video adapter problems
  • A BIOS bug
  • BIOS caching or shadowing

NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM (24)

This indicates that a problem occurred within Ntfs.sys (the driver file that allows the system to read and write to NTFS drives). Corruption in the NTFS file system or in blocks (sectors) on the hard disk can cause this error. Corrupted SCSI and EIDE drivers can also adversely affect the systems ability to read and write to disk, thus causing the error.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)

This indicates that invalid system memory has been referenced.

Usual causes are a bug in a device driver, hardware related memory issues, corrupt NTFS volume, anti-virus software.

etc

Run Seatools - SeaTools | Seagate

Everything but Fix All and Long Generic.

If Seatools comes up okay, run a Memtest:

Memtest86+:

Download Memtest86+ here:

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Which should I download?

You can either download the pre-compiled ISO that you would burn to a CD and then boot from the CD, or you can download the auto-installer for the USB key. What this will do is format your USB drive, make it a bootable device, and then install the necessary files. Both do the same job, it's just up to you which you choose, or which you have available (whether it's CD or USB).

How Memtest works:

Memtest86 writes a series of test patterns to most memory addresses, reads back the data written, and compares it for errors.

The default pass does 9 different tests, varying in access patterns and test data. A tenth test, bit fade, is selectable from the menu. It writes all memory with zeroes, then sleeps for 90 minutes before checking to see if bits have changed (perhaps because of refresh problems). This is repeated with all ones for a total time of 3 hours per pass.

Many chipsets can report RAM speeds and timings via SPD (Serial Presence Detect) or EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles), and some even support changing the expected memory speed. If the expected memory speed is overclocked, Memtest86 can test that memory performance is error-free with these faster settings.

Some hardware is able to report the "PAT status" (PAT: enabled or PAT: disabled). This is a reference to Intel Performance acceleration technology; there may be BIOS settings which affect this aspect of memory timing.

This information, if available to the program, can be displayed via a menu option.

Any other questions, they can most likely be answered by reading this great guide here:

Hi,

I recommend running Seatools in its DOS version rather than Windows, but if you can only do Windows due to lack of media to put the DOS on, that's understandable.

In regards to the perfmon:

Net.Msmq Listener Adapter

displayname: Net.Msmq Listener Adapter

exitcode: 1075

scname: NetMsmqActivator

pathname: "c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\SMSvcHost.exe" -NetMsmqActivator

servicespecificexitcode: 0

started: tv_FalseString

state: Stopped

Try restarting this service via services.msc (right click the service and click restart).

The device, USB Mass Storage Device, cannot start properly. It may not have the correct driver installed or may be experiencing a hardware failure

If you navigate to Device Manager, are there any devices with a yellow exclamation mark?

Patrick

Re: 1st steps in eradiicating BSOD's (I hope.......) SOLVED?

I accidentally fixed(i believe) my constant issues wi/BSOD's some as many as 6-8 daily, for three months.
whie attempting to upgrade BIOS per your rquest, i stumbled on an HP product page for my system, that lists several updates that should have been put in months ago. but as there were no notifications, and the files did not appear in any updates that I ever saw, they went nowhere. the page is:
Software & driver downloads HP Pavilion Media Center m8200n Desktop PC | HP® Support

the 1st and 2nd files are referenced in the attachment.

I hope this makes sense to someone, I do not know why it is running( some 23 hours operations w/o a hitch).

Why HP does not reference this product page; and why they are difficult to find( in my cases, my model number was listed as invalid in three google searched on HP.

thanks for all the help. You solved several issues I had.

Great tobe part of this forum and know I can come back.
