Hey folks, I'm hoping to be able to get relief from a problem with my Windows 10 Pro installation. Recently started running very slow, and Outlook/Office had issues.
I am running:
Dell XPS8300, 12GB/1TB Samsung SSD, 2TB WD SATA secondary drive, Windows 10 Pro 10.0.16299.214, Norton Security Deluxe, Office 365/2016
I have completed the following:
Checked Windows updates, all up to date
CHKDSK C: /R found and repaired issues, no bad sectors
DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth completed successfully
sfc /scannow fails, with corruptions detected that were not repaired
Norton Security Deluxe repair found no issues present, no infections.
Norton Power Eraser found no infection or issues present
The only system restore point available to me appears to be the one I created before running sfcfix
sfcfix crashed, "...something went horribly wrong..."
zipped the CBS folder (attached)
sfcfix log attached
I'm functional but feel like I'm stuck in first gear. I have backups going back three days I can restore from, but I get the feeling this has been around longer than that.
I'd greatly appreciate any assistance to resolve this matter.
Thanks!
Mike
