I've had an audio issue for the last week or so. There's audio clicks and pops, my mouse lags, and even a keyboard problem. The last two don't seem to be a universal problem people have, but they only ever happen when the audio issues happen, so there's gotta be a connection.

I've also tried numerous solutions, but they never seem to get rid of it!
They always appear to work for maybe 2 days tops, but then the issues come right back again out of the blue.

I've been using LatencyMon so I'm almost 100% positive that it's a DPC latency problem.

System Manufacturer?
Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.

Laptop or Desktop? Laptop.

Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom). All I could find on the bottom was "MS-16JB."

OS? Windows 10.

x86 (32bit) or x64 (64bit)? 64bit

Service pack? Couldn't find anything having to do with a service pack.

What was original installed OS on system? Windows 10.
Age of system? (hardware) I've only had it since a little before Christmas of last year, so probably around six months?
RAM (brand, EXACT model, what slots are you using?) I'm assuming this info is super important, but I don't know how to find the first two bits. Task Manager says I'm using both of 2 of 2 slots though, if that's any help.

Video Card. How exactly do I check this? DirectX Diagnostic Tool shows both Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060.

Couldn't answer all the questions, since I wasn't sure about everything. If you still need more, I'm probably gonna need instructions on how to find it.
(I'm not experienced with computers, so I hope that's okay.)

Lastly...
When I tried to generate a trace with the "xperf" command, this happened:

If you know how to help me generate a trace without that happening, that's the only way I can think of getting the trace file.
(I don't know if I did something wrong, but I tried to follow along with the instructions as best I could.)

Otherwise, the other two files are attached.

I hope the information I've given is enough to get this problem solved.
Like I said, I've only had this laptop for 6 months, and I've had so many laptop issues in the past that it's driven me crazy trying to fix this. Some help would be VERY appreciated.

Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options and select High performance.
Post dumo free portable (click) results here (menu action, export, text file).

That xperf message should mean the trace is already started.
To stop it: xperf -d "%userprofile%\Desktop\trace.etl"

So, strangely enough, there weren't any sound issues for the longest time (almost five days?) after doing a windows update until my computer turned off after not getting any power for a little bit, literally as I was typing this. Then they came back immediately. (I was originally typing this because I noticed a game I was playing was having some glitchy issues and I checked LatencyMon to find that the latency was still there.)

Wildly enough, they also just stopped after around 30 seconds, almost for good, and now it's come back every few minutes.
It's really sporadic, I can't pin it down anymore. Maybe that's supposed to happen, though.

So, I did what your reply told me:
Power Options were already set on High performance, though I don't think they usually are. I think the computer may have reset that setting on its own recently, if that's possible?

The results from dumo are attached below.

Regarding the xperf messsage, when I entered that, it said this:
xperf message.jpg

Hopefully that helps you figure this out a little bit more! Thank you for replying.

Okay, so I haven't been hearing any sound issues since the last post I made, I'm still not sure why.
I do know that the game I mentioned being laggy and glitchy is still doing so, and the only time that LatencyMon seems to pick up anything, currently, is when I open that game up.

I also managed to finally be able get a trace started and completed (don't know why it wasn't working before). Since there weren't any issues related to sound, I decided I'd just go on with the game issues. So, I launched the game and started and ended the trace while it was still running:

As for the update, I had actually updated Windows to that version, but that was almost exactly before my computer started having any latency issues.
I was concerned that it had caused the problems (it was the only thing I could think of, and other people also reported that the update was causing them trouble), so I rolled back to a previous version (only to find that it didn't stop the issues at all). Because I opted out of it, it won't show up anymore.
