[10v1703b15063 x64] Dism RestoreHealth show no progress? Then it gives 0x800f0906.

hi there,

So basically, in both powershell and command prompt: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and healthcheck worked initially and took a while but got to 94.7% and then no further. I left it running overnight to see if it would resolve itself but to no avail. It potentially might have been due to the Internet cutting out at one point but i cant be sure.

Now since that happened i have tried both commands but neither show any form of action. they simply do this:

..thats it, no progress bar and it will stay like this for hours until i close it and try again. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i have scoured forums for a solution but cant find a suitable answer.

Also i did a sfc/ scannow and that completed itself on command prompt and showed no problems which just confused me even more.

have you tried upgrading your Windows 10 to the latest build?

well thats what I am currently unable to do, the update is pending and stays on 0%. then every now and then rescans for updates and states there was an error in attaining them. I've been running checks most of today and FINALLY

the DISM restore option strangely worked but had an error:

not quite sure where to go from here.

Aha, that's helpful. Please attach CBS.log and DISM.log available at C:\Windows\Logs.

can only find you a DISM log in that folder. not sure how to attach a txt file? there's no paperclip haha

i cant do an official reply to the thread as it keeps freezing, (the webpage that is) so i cant upload anymore files till it sorts itself out

Ah, copy the CBS.log to your Desktop, zip it up and attach it then. :)

well now official reply works but the file is too big to upload, its a 14mb txt file. how can i shrink this down for easy upload?

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.


  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.


Afterwards, please run DISM again and report the result.
If it fails, zip CBS.log and attach it to your post.
