HP BP004LA few days of use brand new
WINDOWS 10 PRO 64b Just installed
i7 7500u - 4gb ddr4- ssd 256gb wd green
No vpn, proxy, disk image, over or underclock, windows defender.



Hello i just bought a new laptop to use with Ableton Live, and i was surprised to have some pops crackles even with medium size buffers and seeing that neither the cpu or ram were loaded.
*First i checked with dpc latency checker, it was ALL red (4000u), i disable ethernet and wifi drivers, and went down to yellow 1000u, which is better but not great.
*I tried disabling all other drivers with no luck, changing power settings and unpluging devices, everything with 1000u
*on one of my attempts i entered safe mode, but i discoverd dpc wasnt able to launch. After that a did a diagnose boot (only elementary process and services), AND SURPRISE IT WAS ONLY 50-200U in dpc. I used Ableton like an hour trying to overload it and it went fluently without any drops, cracks.
*i did a normal reset and everything went back too 1000u (or 4000u if i turned on internet).
*i tried to replicate those 50-200u with no results in any way of boot

*Today, i formatted my pc willing that solves the problem. At first boot i got green 700u, which wasnt great, but better
*After my first reboot again 1000u....
*Right now is the same if wlan lan drivers are enabled or not


In Latency Mon the culprit seems to be acpi.sys and sometimes: dxgkrnl.sys ndsis.sys or wdf01000.sys

I don´t know what more to do, what really frustrates me its that it worked for a whole session PERFECTLY, so i now that some way this can be solved

Hello, in some palces is listed as HP BP005LA (it´s the exact same hardware)

PD: The SSD was added, it came with a 500gb at first.

It seems like a lot of Intel drivers aren´t updated but intel Software tell me there aren´t new updates available.

Already updated Intel Graphics, problem still the same
 
Try to update your current SSD firmware from UF300000 TO UF360000 (I think this is the latest, but I'm not sure of it).
A complete backup of your OS and your files is mandatory, before you update the firmware.

The ssd is now updated to UF 450000 But latency remains the same


*Now, i uninstalled Realtek hd driver audio, didnt change latency at all but i dont have some minor audio issues i was already suffering.
*Disabling network drivers still helps a lot (going from a high red about 3000us to a 1000us) but still. 1000 is a lot.

Please update the BIOS to F.16
 
Please run xperf again (step F) and provide us a new trace file.

I reinstalled all drivers you mentioned.

When i installed the Realtek Audio, and restarted the dpc latency checker showed latency between 500-1000. When i normally have 1000+. This (500), was for about 5 minutes, after that it was again 1000+.

What else should i try?

I tried this again, now with the newest driver and after the first reboot (it requires two reboots, the first one uninstall previous versions)

I got again Green DPC (Captura.PNG)
So i decide to cancell the installation (and see everything continues smoothly with microsoft driver,

It was green until i restarted the pc again, and everyhting went to normally (1000-1200us), even tough i cancelled the installation.

I don´t know what's going on but audio driver play some part here.


I try to replicate this (running installation and only doing one boot), but i couldn't.
