1- Error: 1734 The matrix boundaries are invalid.

Hello,

After installing Windows updates december 2022 succesfully, i found an error in the image.

sfc /scannow -> Good!
Dism /RestoreHealth -> Error: 1734 The matrix boundaries are invalid.
dism.log is attached.

Any idea on how to fix this issue?

Open an elevated command prompt and run the following command. Attach services.txt to your next post.

Warning: This script was written specifically for this system. Do not run this script on another system.

Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
Press the Fix button.
If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally.
When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Reboot the system and run the following DISM command again, and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.

Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.

Thank you so much for you reply and sorry for my late reply as the Citrix image was busy for an update. I did SFCFix and Dism, dism gives the following error:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth > Error: 1734, The matrix boundaries are invalid.

Kindly find the logs attached.

No problem at all, could you please run SFCFix (post #8) again. But not from your desktop but directly from the systemdrive C:\?

Thank you. I ran SFCFix from C:\ and C:\SFCFix and i got the same result, the same SFCFix file i guess. Also Dism give the same error.

The fix failed again, please open the following directory C:\Windows\Servicing\Packages\ and navigate to the following files.

Package_6611_for_KB5019964~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.1.8.cat
Package_6619_for_KB5019964~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.1.8.cat

Yes, I was wondering how they look because SFCFix failed to replace the *.cat files. Let's try to remove both files first.

Farbar required to restart the server. Server restarted but it was not able to delete the two files. I can stil see the two files in C:\Windows\Servicing\Packages\.
