Hello,
I have a Windows 7 machine that I recently determined had a bad memory stick installed. This has caused a lot of random issues. I am attempting to repair the damage, but I can not get sfc /scannow to run. It keeps telling me that "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation." When looking at the CBS.log, it looks like a lot of failures, which I think are referring to corruption of the COMPONENTS file.
I have seen that you fine folks are capable of repairing the COMPONENTS file, or to help me resolve this issue. I will upload the CBS.log file for you now. Let me know if this is something you can assist with. Thank you! :)
