Hello,

I'm new to this forum.
I'm trying to update the windows version from 1803. It always gives error 0x80070002.
I tried sfc and dism commands and the problem persists.

I tried SFCFix but it crashes:

SFCFix version 3.0.2.1 by niemiro.

Microsoft Windows 10 Build 17134 - x86
Not using a script file.

SFCFix version 3.0.2.1 by niemiro has encountered an unhandled exception.

I've seen other people attaches the CBS.log, and I'm doing it too.
Checking the log i've seen something related tich windows media center or windows home, and I think it might be the problem.
I think it might not been installed from a known source, and I uninstalled it, but it keeps giving errrors and I don't know how to clean it.

Hi!

Please do the following:

Step#1 - FRST Scan

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Right-click FRST64.exe and click Run as Administrator to run it as administrator. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already checked).
4. Press Scan button.
5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop)
6. Please attach the log back here.
7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST64.exe) will be generated Please also attach that along with the FRST.txt in your reply.

Hi again and thanks for your answers.

I've run FRST, but the x86 version.
I think it's a x64 PC with a 32 bit version, I hope that's not the problem.

I've attached both logs (FRST and Addition). I hope they're useful

Please do the following:

Step#1 - DISM /RestoreHealth Scan
Warning:this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Right-click on the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin)
  2. When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  3. Once it finishes, copy and paste the following into the command-prompt window and press Enter. If prompted to overwrite the existing file go ahead.
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  4. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please zip/upload to this thread.
Please Note:: if the file is too big (over 7MB) to upload to your next post, please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

Hi, I've been out with no access to the computer.

I've attached the log after running the command you said.

Yes Another windows 10 (Home edition I think), and my company's PC with windows 10 Pro.

Do you need to translate the messages in the capture or the file dism.log ?

The first three will be in:

C:\Windows\servicing\Packages

The rest of them will be in C:\Windows\WinSxS.

Hi, thanks.
I have found them, but only in the PC which is not working, so I suppose they are corrupt.
I'm attaching the files anyway, maybe they're of some use.

tomorrow I'll check the other PC.
