Click to expand... I did use a USB WIFI dongle as an alternative and my pc's internet is working ok now. But did you find some new driver or something to let my built-in adapter work properly again ? Or must i definitve say goodbye to my adapter as it is too old perhaps ?

I find a one from 2016/01 number 10.0.0.336 Download Qualcomm Atheros wireless driver 10.0.0.336 for AR9285 and Windows 7 Installed it with no problem. Let's see how it goes

What i did next is searching on my laptop for the original one. I installed it and sofar no drop downs. It's the 8.0.0.172 (09/2009) Will update in a few days.
