eddiez, I would go ahead and run the restore health command, but if you want to check it first then use the /ScanHealth switch. FWIW, below is a list of the commonly used commands; 1.) Open an elevated command prompt. 2.) In the elevated command prompt, copy and paste the command below...

Windows 8.1 update KB3022345 causing SFC integrity violations

fjleon, Did you use the .zip file I sent you? I dont see how running SFC alone would have been able to repair your problem without it so I am curious to know.

fjleon, Ok, looked at your message again. If I'm reading it correctly you are down to 3 corrupt files. I have built a SCFFix.zip file for you to run. Just like the last time, drag the the SFCFix.zip file onto the SFCFix.exe file and drop it. (You should already have the SFCFix.exe File)...

I don't see how since the two files that were corrupt were not on the original installation media. I can only assume they are part of the many hundreds of updates I installed after the clean system install.

Just wanted to post one more thing. I decided to check my brand new freshly installed Windows 8.1 pro by using SFC and DISM. Guess what? Dism found and fixed corruptions, and SFC found and could NOT repair all of the file corruptions. Keep in mind this installation is only 2 days old! SFC...

[SOLVED] SFC Corrupt Files / SFC Cannot Fix 35 Files

Looking for a little help here. SFC cannot repair the corrupt files it finds, however DISM (c:\dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth) completes with no errors. I ran SFCFix.exe and it reports that there are 35 corrupt files that it cannot repair. I have attached a copy of my SFCFix.txt...
