Corrine, I just noticed that this thread has been considered Solved. In fact, I have not seen the blue screen lately. I would have liked to know what was the problem, how was it detected and how to prevent it in the future, but in any case I want to express my appreciation for all the effort...

No, I have not seen it again for the last two or three days, but I have only used this laptop for very short tasks. If you know what the problem is/was, I would appreciate it knowing about it. Thanks for following up.
