Hi Tekno Venus, I only have a limited options listing for my NVIDIA card (for video only). However, I have managed to solve the problem by going to the hp website running a check on laptop model from them and re downloading and reinstalling the IDT High definition Audio driver for the model...

Hi Jcgriff2, I have tried different cables, and reinstalled the the IDT driver twice with no results, in the post above I have included a list of the steps that I have tried already. I was hoping maybe someone had encountered the problem and knew where it came from.. seems to me a lot of people...

After Windows 8.1 Update, No audio HDMI output to tv

Hi all, I have just recently been able to update from windows 8 to 8.1 thanks to Sysnative, but since the update I can no longer obtain any sound when I connect my laptop to my tv through HDMI, it doesn't appear in the playback options so I cannot select and switch default to hdmi audio output...
