Windows 10 Update hangs while attempting to update KB3139907 and KB3140743. Reports that it is downloading, but it is not. Windows Update Diagnostics reports service registration missing or corrupt: not fixed. Downloaded and ran SFCFix which finished without detecting any errors. See attached...

Can not tell if problem is solved. The initial troubles started on 6 Aug 2015: there are 7 failed attempts to install KB3074683, all on that day. Since then there are no attempted updates of any kind -- successful or failed. Will post again when something definitive happens. You have my thanks.

Noticed that Windows Update & Security listed 5 failed updates for the following: Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3074683) Ran Windows Update Diagnostic, which reports Service registration is missing or corrupt. It also reports that it fixed the problem. (I doubt it.) I next...
