Hey, thanks for your help! The problem persists with a clean boot. It disappears when I use safe mode, the desktop and all systems are available instantly as soon as I see them, without any 10sec hang like with normal and clean boot. I am not using Acronis software. I'm using the default...

Hey, thanks for your reply! Secure boot is disabled, I can't find anything about TGC/TPM in there. Oh snap, I should put my hardware into the OP. Mainboard is asrock z68 pro3 gen3.

Hello guys, my problem as follows: I start the PC, as soon as I see my desktop the PC kind of "hangs" for 5-10 seconds, then it continues to load programs, display color correction files etc. I took a look into the event log and it says something about it missing drivers, but I have no idea...

Okay. Thank you for all your help. I don't know what to do now but I am happy that I nailed the source of corruption. :) Just on a side note - COULD this be a hardware issue? Motherboard is 3-5 years old. How to hardware issues usually "show" themselves?

Hmm, I can not edit my old post. So another one. I deleted the driver from windows/system32/drivers but after reboot it's back again. The same driver. So yeah I guess Realtek gave the driver to microsoft. :-/

Hmm this might be an evil hack but I will manually delete the driver file/move it and see what happens. It could be a possibility that Realtek provided Microsoft with "runs on all chips" generic drivers and microsoft uses that driver as it's go-to driver. Driver details in device manager say...

Damn it! :( I just had a freeze today, so I tried testing "let's see if it's the network thingy" and started enabling the "can wake up device" options in the device manager. Can wake up - ok - fine. Can wake up + only magic packet - ok - fine. Can wake up (remove only magic packet option) - ok...

Not much saved as you would have liked? I have the dump setting on "auto". Should I change that? I thought I was using the windows driver! Hmm, maybe I posted the wrong memory dump? Anyway, I disabled "allow wake up from this device" in safe mode+network drivers without problem and now all...
