Thanks, Aura. I appreciate your help. As I said in my first post, I ran SURT, and my second post contains the ZIP file with all of the contents of the CBS log folder including CheckSUR.log. So I'm not sure I understand why you didn't just open that up and had a look. But anyway, here is the...

There are a number of things misbehaving on our laptop (and it's also very slow) When I started investigating, I found that Windows Update keeps trying but failing to install KB2977292 for months. And it looks to me that it is blocking other updates. Ran SURT showing 8 errors. Logfile contains...
