Hi Ralph, Thanks for your response but, as I said in my original post, I seem to have managed to overcome the problem of my browsers' home pages being hijacked by Launchpage.org without any outside assistance. It's the 'System Restore' problem that I actually need help with but, unfortunately...

I am running Windows 8.1 on an ASUS X555L laptop. My original problem was that the Intel True Key program stopped working. When I tried to open True Key, the window opened but it just appeared to hang, with a continually spinning wheel. I tried reinstalling True Key but it still would not work...
