Thank you for responding. I am well aware of space requirements. My initial conversation was about using PC Mover to go from old desktop win 7 32 bit to newer win 10 64 bit desktop and one of the moderators suggested Laplink PC Mover which will work for me. I am now getting ready for the move...

Almost ready but moving from desktop with Win 7 Ultimate with 2 2T drives C/D/E/F/G to HP Z4 G4 Workstation 4.00GHz Xeon W-2125 32GB RAM 512GB NVMe SSD and called company to ask if I should put in blank drives or copy over D/E/F/G and they could not answer. AARGHH... Any opinion?

Am still putting it all together, new cables, DVD, lots in process. Cleaning out programs (currently 340 installed, 15 years of my life) I don't want transferred, updating others and scrambling to find all the licenses. Am hoping to hook the two computers together SOON. Will let you know.

Thanks for asking and pushing me. Had to get some cables, other connectors and set up new computer. The transfer will begin tomorrow AM. Both excited and a bit nervous. Will let you know after. Nice to know you are on my team. :-)(y)🌈

Need advice on upgrading

Am putting together a fresh box, new motherboard and chip, sata6 and usb 3. At some point I may brave the leap to Windows 7 64. Thank you for your amazing support through it all. I am GRATEFUL in my heart for you. Have a great summer.

Ran chkdsk, no erroes, and tried to run sfc from safe boot but would not run. Some updates from windows tried to install, security updates, and all failed.

Not trying to drive you crazy but had an issue today and tried to run sfc /scannow and got windows protection error. Ran fixscf and log attached. I don't think I did anything new.
