SFC Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service and DISM 1812

I noticed some events stating that tiworker.exe could not be launched. I changed the path in a few places in the registry by a more recent version in WinSxS and all of the sudden on next reboot sfc /scannow works again till like 64%. Good thing is there are finally logfiles to see what is wrong...

[Server2012R2Standard] Updates no longer installing, SFC scannow stops at 43%

Hi, DISM detects component store corruption but does not seem to be able to repair it. SFC /scannow stops at 43% My best bet is something went terribly wrong during a reboot of this server a few months ago. Microsoft support says we need to reinstall this server but that is not an easy way out...

Windows Server 2012 R2 no longer installs updates, File is reported as corrupt by SFC.

After doing all kinds of standard troubleshooting and repair steps, I am stuck with this one and would greatly appreciate any help. SFCFix output attached, it reports files as corrupted but I have no idea how to fix this, this server also has an issue to connect via Remote Desktop since last...

Our EA Microsoft support has proven useless in this issue, the only feedback we got after months was to reinstall Windows. But some of these are big SQL Servers and they are not migrated easily, our internal users do not accept this outcome and now we are stuck with servers that won't update...
