Re: Windows 8.1 "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" error "2147023838" Well, noone helped so I fixed it myself. BITS needs two services to be running, even though they're not in the dependencies. They are: Network List Service Network Location Awareness

[SOLVED] Windows 8.1 "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" error "2147023838"

Windows 8.1 "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" error "2147023838" I'm having trouble with said service and by extension everything relying on it (such as Windows Update). Its status is "stopped" and if I try to start it I get an error which says Windows could not start the Background...
