That was the conclusion I had reached as well. In my other research I had read about another possible service causing the same issues that might be correct down the road with Windows fabulous updates. For now they are well working free laptops. thank you for all your help

Thanks for sending a prompt response. I ran the script and received a missing "msvcp100.dll missing" error message. I took care of that issue and ran the script again without error. Windows update no longer wants to reboot but now it wants to upgrade to windows 10. I already upgrade this...
