Hi Stephan, The folder RebootPending exists. It contains one (standard) key without value. The RebootRequired key/folder is not present. Dennis

Hi Stephen, I started the service, and set the startup to automatic, unfortunately it did not solve the problem yet. Any further steps I can do? Dennis

Yes I rebooted twice since running those commands, without success as it still cannot find updates and keeps asking me to restart the computer

I got trouble using windows update. It keeps telling me to restart the computer when I try to look for updates. I tried several troubleshooting from windows itself when I run into your SFCFix.exe tool. This is what it generated: SFCFix version 2.2.1.0 by niemiro. Start time: 2014-04-09...
