sluggish pc with minor problem, want to clean house

Windows can not find C:\$Windows.~bt. Make sure you typed the name in correctly!!! You are AWESOME!!! Thank you for all your help. My computer is running so much better!!

mine said something a little different than your example: chkdsk /R the type of the file system is NTFS. cannot lock current drive. chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)
