Hi Softwaremaniac. thanks for your help on this one. At least you confirmed that the server is beyond help before I rebuild it. my backups are in days and not years im afraid. Thanks anyway ;)

Can I just confirm what the size of the LogFile.PML is supposed to be? I started the trace when I started the DISM - RestoreHelath, but by the time I got the 14098 error it had logged 18 million events over about a ten minute period. The file is processing but it looks as though it is going to...
