[SOLVED] Windows Update Error 800B0100 (Win7 Pro 64-bit SP1)

I appreciate you quick response. However, before I had a chance to try your fix the computer decided to ask me for the logon password (even though there wasn't one). After failing at a few fixes, I have wiped the machine and reinstalled Windows. Thank you anyway.

I am trying to set up a Lenovo B575e laptop for my father. I uninstalled a bunch of pre-loaded software using CCleaner and the Windows Add/Remove Programs tool (for the ones CCleaner couldn't see) and I suspect that CCleaner deleting the registry keys of the programs it uninstalled may have led...
