Started with loss of sound.

Those steps ask for the installer disc, which I don't have. I tried to use windows 7 disc but the computer won't allow it. And to boot from disc the harddrive is not discoverable .

Started with loss of sound.

I logged into the computer one morning and my sound was gone, which left me frustrated and looking for answers, still unable to find them and my sfcfix.txt saying to get help. i thought maybe upgrading to windows 8.1 would fix this but clearly not. i tried reverting back to 8 but i dont know...
