Success! Was able to finish updating windows. Will now try to upgrade to win10. Attached please find the log file. Thank you so much, Peter. Really, REALLY, appreciate your help.

It ran for about two minutes. Then the popup window with title "Windows Update Standalone Installer" says "The update KB4457144 is not installed on this computer"
