    Changes to SkyDrive

From Building Windows 8, Making personal cloud storage for Windows available anywhere, with the new SkyDrive

Here’s what’s available for use, starting now:
    • SkyDrive for the Windows desktop (preview available now). View and manage your personal SkyDrive directly from Windows Explorer on Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista with this new preview app available in 106 languages worldwide.
    • Fetching files through SkyDrive.com. Easily access, browse, and stream files from a remote PC running the preview app to just about anywhere by simply fetching them via SkyDrive.com.
    • SkyDrive storage updates. A new, more flexible approach to personal cloud storage that allows power users to get additional paid storage as their needs grow.
• SkyDrive for other devices. We’ve updated the SkyDrive apps on Windows Phone and iOS devices, bringing better management features and sharing options to those devices. We’re also releasing a new preview client for Mac OS X Lion, letting you manage your SkyDrive right from the Finder.

    Re: Changes to SkyDrive

The Skydrive App is now available for download, add a Skydrive folder to Windows Explorer for drag and drop synch: https://apps.live.com/skydrive
SkyDrive for Windows is the easiest way to access your SkyDrive from your PC. When you install SkyDrive, a SkyDrive folder is created on your PC. Everything you put in this folder is automatically kept in sync between your computers (PC or Mac) and SkyDrive.com, so you can get to your latest files from virtually anywhere. Whenever you add, change, or delete files in one location, all the other locations will be updated.

If you forgot to put something in your SkyDrive folder, you can still get back to your PC to access all its files and folders from SkyDrive.com.

Access your SkyDrive right from Windows Explorer—photos, documents, and all your other important files.
Quickly add new files to SkyDrive by dragging them to the SkyDrive folder.
Easily organize your files and folders in SkyDrive, just like any other folder.
Connect back to your PC if you forget to put something in SkyDrive.
If only it added a right-click Send to: shell extension ...
