Attempted Execute of noexecute memory BSOD

First off thanks for any help that can be given. I originally upgraded from Win 7 to Win 8 on it's release even though I should have done a fresh install to get maximum performance out of my SSD. I later ghosted over to a larger SSD, even though I should have done a fresh install. Last week I upgraded to 8.1, however, during the installation it encountered an error and bricked my PC. Long story short, I finally did a fresh install, including updating all drivers.

Shortly after the update I ran into the Attempted Execute of Noexecute Memory BSOD and was forced to roll back to shortly after my 8.1 upgrade. After about 6+ BSODs, roll back, and repeat, I believe I narrowed down the issue to a Windows Updated titled "Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB2901549)."

I've followed the attachment instructions, however, when I run perfmon /report, I get an error "The operator or administrator has refused the request." even though I'm the administrator. After Googling this issue, it appears it's caused by 8.1

    Here's the attachment

    Hi,

Is it still happening, or does it only happen after you upgrade and install that specific update?

    Regards,

    Patrick

Check for SSD firmware upgrade -
    Code:
    Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series

Updated the SSD. Patrick, I'm not 100% positive, but have replicated the issue a couple times after downloading that update. I've forced Windows to not update unless I tell it to.

Got it. Well, since we have the SSD updated now and that update is not installed, let us know if you BSOD.

Re: Attempted Execute of noexecute memory BSOD

Yes it has continued to BSOD. I've also been posting in the Microsoft's technet forums, which they've noticed issues with sgfxk64.sys and dxgkrnl.sys; This would make sense because in addition to the Windows 8 update, there was an AMD update that might have been getting installed as well.

Here's the link to my post in another forum
    Attempted Execute of noexecute memory

I've uninstalled my Samsung Central Station drivers that are tied to the SMSC graphics adapter software in hopes that it's wireless display capabilities are causing the issue. I've also uninstalled AMD's CCC that I got from the MSI website, and downloaded the latest version directly from AMD. Finally I ran SFC with no errors both prior to and after fiddling with the graphics drivers.

I might try to install the available AMD update through Windows to see if that will cause the BSOD again, if not, hopefully I'm in the clear.
