Code: BugCheck 1000007E, {ffffffffc0000005, fffff88003c8a3a3, fffff88004dfd4b8, fffff88004dfcd10} 1st argument indicates an access violation occurred. Why? Code: 1: kd> .cxr 0xfffff88004dfcd10;r rax=0000000000008600 rbx=fffff98003edc630 rcx=0000000000000002 rdx=fffff88004dfd870 rsi=fffff98003ffeee0 rdi=fffff88004dfd870 rip=fffff88003c8a3a3 rsp=fffff88004dfd6f8 rbp=0000000000000000 r8=fffff88003fec2b0 r9=0000000000000002 r10=fffff8a0033634a0 r11=fffff88004dfd7d0 r12=0000000000000000 r13=0000000000000001 r14=fffffa8003ef29b0 r15=0000000000000004 iopl=0 nv up ei pl zr na po nc cs=0010 ss=0018 ds=002b es=002b fs=0053 gs=002b efl=00010246 atikmdag+0x123a3: fffff880`03c8a3a3 0100 add dword ptr [rax],eax ds:002b:00000000`00008600=???????? On the instruction we faulted on, we failed adding a pointer that was stored in rax. rax = 0000000000008600 (invalid), and that's why we bug checked. Ultimately we were trying to store a dword in eax by dereferencing rax. Ensure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest video card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the latest to ensure it's not a latest driver only issue. If you have already experimented with the latest video card driver and many previous versions, please give the beta driver for your card a try. Dell Support Regards, Patrick
