Unfortunately I have exams the next 3 days so I probably won't be able to look at your problem until they're over. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Stephen

Tekno Venus Senior Administrator, Developer Staff member Joined Jul 21, 2012 Posts 7,205 Location UK May 27, 2015 #89 Sorry for the delay! So - is it only IE that's causing the issue at the moment? I'm assuming you have IE10 installed? Is it still trying to install 8 updates repeatedly?

I'm testing windows update to see if the other 8 keep coming back as we speak. Be on again shortly.

It may take some time to check for updates since we've cleared the cache. It may also clear your update history - that's an unfortunate side-effect. Stephen

I'm starting to think the hard drive could be crapping. I'm gonna run another chkdsk as well and check the smart status of the HD.

Save the file to your desktop. Double click on Process Monitor and press Yes on the UAC. A filter box will appear. Click Ok Make sure File -> Capture Events is ticked Run SFC /SCANNOW, once the scan has finished/failed please continue. Go back into Process Monitor. Click on File -> Save -> save the file to your desktop. Now go to your desktop and you should see a file called Logfile.pml. Please zip the file and upload it for me to analyse. As the file is going to be quite big please use Dropbox or One Drive Stephen
