It was originally stuck on two "important" updates (including KB2882822 . . . didn't record the other one, but it was a .NET 3.5.1 update, I think), but in trying solutions I found at other sites, if anything I made the problem worse -- Windows Update now thinks my system has never been updated. In addition, running Windows Update only brings me to a message telling me that I need to restart my computer, but restarting doesn't change anything. Based on responses to other threads in this Forum, I downloaded and ran the System Update Readiness Tool, and then followed the process to produce the CBS.zip file, which I have attached to this post. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance! PeterView attachment CBS.zip
