I just discovered this forum, and see this seems to be the place to be for answers, as I've messed with this off and on for the last 6-12 months. Step 1: check. Step 2: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations Step 3: took forever, but I did finally get SURT to show "installation complete" Step 4: see attached. Step 5: check Step 6: check. CBS Link Thanks again, for offering this service. I look forward to working with y'all in solving this oddity. Regards, Steven Attachments SFCFix.txt 1.7 KB · Views: 1

No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it. Save any open documents and close all open windows. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it. SFCFix will now process the script. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put Code: tags around the log to break up the text. Dropbox - SFCFix.zip Afterwards, run System Update Readiness Tool again and attach CheckSUR.log.

I apologize in advance, my computer is at the office, and I can't seem to get a remote connection to connect to it this evening. I may run up there and bring it home, tomorrow. Otherwise, I won't be able to post any more info until Monday morning...
