I tried everything possible to get it installed, from resetting Windows Update Components to manually downloading it. Nothing changed the situation. The error code is 8007371. In cbs.log I found this Failed to pin deployment while resolving Update: 4074598-453_neutral_LDR from file: (null) [HRESULT = 0x80073701 - ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING] Click to expand... Then I tried to uninstall update kb4074598 as found from cbs entry, but "wusa /uninstall /kb:4074598" says, this update is not installed. Even installing it does not work, because it says that this update is not applicable. Digging further around I found a post in this forum indicating to use FRST64 to scan the registry. I did that und got a "search.txt", but actually this does not help me really, because there are so many entries and I don't know which fix to apply. Does anybody can help me out with this? Thanks Regards, toddehb Attachments Search.txt 1.6 MB · Views: 2

Step#1 - FRST Fix NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system 1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop. Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one. 2. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop. Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop). 3. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator. 4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run. 5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply. 6. Try updates and if any fail, attach CBS.log.
