This one failed. Maybe it's because this morning, after the SFCFix script succeeded (see the code I posted), I wasn't sure if I'd used the correct SFCFix script, so I checked and tried the correct one, and this time the processing failed. Maybe some error state persisted until just now.

    Re: KB976932 (SP1) error 80004005 Win7 Home Prem (x64) - rolls back after 99% config

Step#1 - Capture Process Monitor Trace
    1. Download and run Process Monitor a minute or so before the failure occurs.
    2. Stop Process Monitor as soon as it fails. You can simply do this by clicking the magnifying glass on the toolbar as shown below.

    3. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine.
    4. Zip up and attach the LogFile.PML file as well as your CBS.log

    Re: KB976932 (SP1) error 80004005 Win7 Home Prem (x64) - rolls back after 99% config

Got the timing from the previous CBS log -- first critical error occurs 56 minutes after starting the SP1 install. Started recording around a minute before fail.

Download Logfile.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way

    Fantastic!

Run the fix, run SURT, install SP1 normally as you did before, no ProcMon.
