Unable to update + list of previous updates empty?

Hi, I'm new here, I have this problem since 2015 but was never able to fix it myself so I just gave up,
that is until a few days ago when a new update to a program I use now requires a newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ and of course it needs a windows update I can't install, not even manually.

I already tried to reset Windows Update following a few guides but nothing has worked so far.

I followed your guide to deal with this problem:
I did the sfc /scannow and zipped the CBS folder,
Then I installed SFCFix and generated the txt.

both these files are attached to this post, any help is hugely appreciated!

Hello and welcome!

The list of previous updates is empty because you have reset the components.

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
Save any open documents and close all open windows.
On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
SFCFix will now process the script.
Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put tags around the log to break up the text.

SFC Scan

Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.

Okay, the remaining files that have been marked as corrupt can be left alone according to MS.

Please try installing this update now and attach CBS.log if it fails: Download Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3080149) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Yes, I already updated the Universal C Runtime and my program is now working again! thanks.

Tomorrow I will do other updates, do you recommend installing the whole Convenience Rollup for windows 7 or is it only for fresh install of the OS?

Install everything that is offered in Important updates. If any happen to fail, please attach CBS.log after the failure.

Fresh install is an extreme option to which we resort only in extreme circumstances.
