Some background: I've done some troubleshooting but to no avail. This has been an issue since December 2017, I believe, when my computer had trouble with its Internet connection after shutting down when there was a Windows update available. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
What I've done so far:
- Disable Windows Firewall/everything but Windows services (via msconfig) and ran Windows update
- Stopped Windows update service (via services.msc), deleted C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution, restarted update service and ran Windows update
- Followed the steps here (Manually reset each Windows Update component to default)

- KB2952664 - Failed
- KB4054518 - Failed
Following steps for Posting Instructions:
- SFC Scan yielded no errors
- SURT/DISM scan prompted "Hotfix for Windows (KB947821)" and, after probably 1hr+, said installation complete.
