Go ahead and run the tool The utility creates a compressed cabinet of all the needed logs to %TEMP%\vslogs.cab. Please zip/attach to this post or if too large, send using a service such as SendSpace.

Afterwards, try the .NET setup again! If the folder is not visible, make sure the option "Hide protected operating system files" is unchecked.

The Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile Maintenance window will open and select the “Repair .NET Framework 4 Client Profile to its original state”. Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
