    Hi jpatt1555

Lets see if we can do something with the crashes.

the corruptions look clear so we can have a look at your issues with the crashes and BSOD.

First thing that might be worth trying.

Your system has four 2GB chips of memory for a total of 8GB which is the maximum supported by your board. In Vista x64 there were known instability issues with this motherboard when having this much memory without a hotfix installed. If you remove two sticks and only use 4GB let's see if the crashing will stop.

If your not comfortable opening the case and removing the RAM left me know and we can try some other things.

Re: I have a corrupt system file

Hi Bruce, My board does not max out at 8GB, that is only if running at 32, I am running at 64 which means I can increase ram very high. I will disable 4GB anyway and try it. I did it this morning and I had to restart my computer 5 times to get it to stop crashing. Yesterday, I also tried copying the Windows Explorer file from Windows folder to System32 folder, which was advised by Microsoft forum, It did not work.

ps. By the way, I built my computer so I don't have a problem working on it.

I took out my graphics card and installed a less powerful one. I went from a GTX960 to a GT740. It does not seem to help and my system does not recognize my card.

Success, I have finally loaded my graphics card software drivers without windows explorer crashing. It still crashes occasionally, but the drivers remain.

Re: I have a corrupt system file

    Hi Jpatt1555

As you have re-installed the OS and are still having issues then it's not a Windows Update/Servicing issue. I would suggest posting in one of our alternate forums for assistance. If you are still having BSOD, then that forum would be appropriate.

    Many thanks
