All updates fail with error code 800B0100. There are a few updates also listed as "Failed" in the update history but these three have all failed dozens of times. I haven't noticed any symptoms. I have run Avast Antivirus since this computer was purchased and uninstalled yesterday to see if that helped the update issue (it didn't). I am nearly certain I don't have virus/malware problems. You can close the folder window that opens Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator. Go ahead and allow if you receive the UAC prompt.
