So the HDD is the problem, there is no other way to fix this issue? And what about the SCFix I mistakenly ran yesterday? Do I just delete the folder it created?

If you would like to run the additional extended test, please make sure you backup everything before executing it. And yes, you can delete the folder in temp.

I will make a backup of my entire HDD. Do you recommend to continue with the fix or just ignore the issue and not receive Windows Updates? I will probably buy another laptop soon so this one will be used less, how bad is the damage? Do I really need to buy a HDD asap?

The uninstall progress was displayed on the classic Windows 7 login/shutdown screen. I just came back to check. I entered my password as usual, but there was a notification saying that SP1 could not be uninstalled. Should I try again?

M magic235 Well-known member Joined Mar 6, 2018 Posts 45 Mar 14, 2018 #39 Same as before, asks me to update the Update Agent, closes and then shows the error. SP1 now says that it was installed today, if that matters.

Once the cmd program is found, right-click on it with your mouse and select Run as administrator. 3. Answer Yes when asked to allow. 4. You should now have a black window open that you can type in to. 5. Please type chkdsk and then press enter. 6. Chkdsk will start to run. Please allow it to finish. 7.
