Hi, I'm new to this forum and appreciate the valuable help provided here. I've seen posts similar to mine on this forum and I know the solutions are specific to each so here is what's going on:
Windows 7Pro 64-bit 8GB RAM. Windows update KB4054518 has failed to install many many many times Error code:800B0100.
Previous to the list of things I mention below I had to repair Windows files using the install disc as System restore, SFC and many other functions that wouldn't work after the KB failed the first time and the computer hang at shutdown and had to be forced to shut down.
Windows issues were fixed but the specific update mentioned will still fail so I did:
SFC scan OK.
SURT ran for about 2hrs and found 340 errors. Broken down: CSI Manifest total count is 110, CBS MUM Corrupt total count = 115, CBS Catalog Corrupt total count=115 and shows multiple Unavailable repair files.
Ran SFCFix.exe, see result below:
