My laptop is running Windows 7 Professional 64bit with SP1, and I've been getting this error on three updates. Now that I've found this site, I've gone through the recommended steps as follows. NOTE: I "clean booted" the laptop before running the following. 1) sfc /scannow returns no errors 2) SURT has been installed and run as recommended 3) SFCfix has been run and states it has fixed 73590 errors out of a total of 99946 Please can you help with the remaining errors? Thank you. CBS.zip is large so is stored at CBS.zip - Google Drive SFXfix.txt is attached here in zip format. Thanks in advance, Dave Attachments SFCFix.zip 619.8 KB · Views: 7

If so, I would recommend you either upgrade to Windows 10 or do a repair install of Windows 7, because the number of corruptions is enormous.
