It does work without the software.
As soon as you uninstall it, the filter dissapears and you can install Windows.
I have tested that today.
The problem is, this software is a file sync software. You can compare it with Dropbox, only the files are hosted on out file server and synced to those who have the client. (it's a little more complicated than that)
It's because our users are scattered worldwide and this is a very good sync software wihch enables them to work offline, without network connectivity.
Each user has approx. 70-100 GB data synced with Nomadesk.
Uninstalling it will also remove the data.
You can't keep the data. That's impossible.
The data is encrypted in an IMG archive which is unique to that machine. It also cannot be re-used.
So an uninstall is not an option.
I have checked this already with the sys engineer who manages this software.
