[Win7SP1HomePre x64] updates won't install

I am posting for the first time, here. Hopefully, I do it right...although I'm having problems uploading the zipped cbs file...sigh

I'm running windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

I have 13 updates that won't install. I've tried numerous times.

I've uninfected the pc, ran all the tweaking repairs, ran sfc, ran check disk.

I've run sfcfix. Here is the sfcfix log:

Please manually upload the components hive by following these instructions:

Upload Components Hive

Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\config
Right-click on the current COMPONENTS file and select copy
Note: If you get an error that the file is in use, reboot your computer and then try again.
Right-click on your Desktop and select paste
Right-click on the COMPONENTS file on your Desktop and select Send To -> Compressed (zipped) Folder
Upload the zip from your Desktop to a file sharing service such as DropBox, OneDrive, SendSpace, etc. and include the link with your reply.

Export Component Based Servicing

Click on the Start button and in the search box, type regedit
When you see regedit on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
When regedit opens, using the left pane, navigate to the following registry key and select it by clicking on it once.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\
Once selected, click File > Export....
Change the Save as type: to Registry Hive Files (*.*)
Name this file ComponentBasedServicing (with no file extension) and save it to your Desktop.
Right Click on the ComponentBasedServicing file on your Desktop and choose Send To -> Compressed (Zipped) Folder.

Once done please upload ComponentBasedServicing.zip via DropBox OneDrive or SendSpace

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
Save any open documents and close all open windows.
On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
SFCFix will now process the script.
Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

Strange, it doesn't appear that SFCFix was able to work on the registry entries.

Please try starting Windows in Safe Mode and attempt the fix again. Be sure to upload SFCFix's log file when it completes :)

Save any work and close all open windows
Restart your computer
When your computer has shutdown and is just starting to boot again (on the BIOS screen that usually has the manufacturer’s logo on it) press F8

Let's try this (thanks to BrianDrab for the script :) ):

FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download fixlist.txt and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.
