Did disk cleanup to remove old CBS & DISM logs.
Ran sfc /scannow . As always, it hangs at 26%.
Ran SFCFix.exe, which went to DISM. Stops at 98.5%, giving as always Error: 0x800f081f. The source files could not be found...
Have mounted the latest Win 10 iso several times & with DISM pointed to install. wim, but it never finds it.
Have fiddled with gpedit.msc (Specify settings for optional component installation & component repair setting), but must be doing something wrong.
Windows Update works perfectly fine & is up-to-date.
Read somewhere that it might be a .NET Framework 3.5 problem, but that seems to be O.K.
Did I also read somewhere that it might be a graphics problem? It's NIVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, which is also up-to-date.
Everything else is working just fine; no problems otherwise.
It's just annoying not being able to run SFC or DISM, & don't particularly want trouble with these further down the track when I really need them.
Obviously would much appreciate any help in solving this annoying problem or maybe problems.
