Run SFCfix this morning log attached. Trying running windows update afterwards and it is just stuck with the message " Preparing to install" and nothing happens. Attempted to attach/upload CBS.zip file it appears the upload is done but I do not see the file to attach? SFCFix version 3.0.0.0 by niemiro. Once the zip has been created, upload it to a file sharing service such as OneDrive, DropBox, SendSpace, etc. and include the link with your reply.

While waiting I looked at the thread "[h=2]Windows 7 64bit - 6 Windows Updates been failing for 5 months" and followed the instructions on how to handle files in the Packs.zip file.[/h] Well this morning to my amazement all updates that I was missing since 6/15 were installed!!! 73 important and 23 critical.... I also run windows update manually and were before it would run for days and do nothing this morning it found 10 additional important updates for Office 2013, it downloaded the updates and installed them without an issue... I believe my issue is resolved, unfortunately I do not know how unless the instructions from the [h=2]Windows 7 64bit - 6 Windows Updates been failing for 5 months... were also an identical match for my issue, which were not...[/h] Regardless I am happy WU is working again, is there anything I can do to verify that all the "settings" for WU are as they should be, besides the obvious that windows update is working ...

If you want you could try running Disk Cleanup, then Defragment - that might help speed Windows Updates up a little bit :)
