Perhaps you can help me with another computer experiencing a similar problem. This PC has not been updated for several months and when I check for updates it is just hung endlessly. Export (1).txt - Google Drive

J jdietter Member Joined Oct 13, 2016 Posts 8 Oct 13, 2016 #6 It appears to have worked! Thank you!! I've spent hours trying to fix this through other forums.

J jdietter Member Joined Oct 13, 2016 Posts 8 Oct 13, 2016 #8 I was able to get several updates to install last night for the first time since March 2016, however, they were all old downloads that were never installed. It wouldn't search for anything new because it always wanted to restart. I am downloading new updates now for the first time with the fix you provided.
