[SOLVED] CSI Missing Deployment Key error - WURT

I have been trying, without success, to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Receive error message 0x8007025D-0x2000C The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during APPLY_IMAGE operation each time at around 6% complete. I have tried numerous fixes suggested in different forums. One of them pointed me to the Windows Update Readiness Tool so I thought I would give it a shot. I received the error shown in the title of this thread in my CheckSUR log. A search of that error brought me to Sysnative.com. I am including the SFCFix log; I will have to send the CBS log with the large file uploader.

System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) - Scan
Follow the instructions below to run a scan with the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) and provide a log;

Download the right version of SURT for your system;
- Your version of Windows is: Windows 7 SP1 x64
Once downloaded, execute the installer, and go throught the installation (this process can take around 15-20 minutes);
On completion, a log will be created in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log;
Attach this log in your next reply;

Alternatively, if these instructions are unclear for you, you can follow the tutorial below.

Hi Aura

I don't know what I did the first time I downloaded the SURT but I did something WRONG! As you can see below, after downloading again, it appears that I have no problems with Windows Update. Is there a thread dealing with inability to upgrade to Windows 10 (see my first post)?

Follow the instructions below to run a SFC scan on your system and to provide the CBS log in your next reply;

On Windows Vista & 7, click on the Windows Start Menu, then enter cmd in the search box, right-click on the cmd icon and select

Run as Administrator
On Windows 8, drag your cursor in the bottom-left corner, and right-click on the metro menu preview, then select Command Prompt (Admin);
On Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, right click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner and select Command Prompt (Admin);
Enter the command below and press on Enter;

```
Note: There's a space between "sfc" and "/scannow";
Once the scan is complete, enter the command below and press on Enter

Hello Aura :smile9:,

Sorry to be so long in replying; I was on vacation last week.

Since my last post, I was able to complete the upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 but not without issues. Now that I am running Win 10, most all of my prior data and programs are accessible and working. The issues I am seeing now seem to relate exclusively to Win 10 apps and features. When I hit the Start button in the lower left corner and try to execute an option, my machine freezes about 50% of the time. If I wait long enough, it will usually "unfreeze" (after 1-3 minutes) but sometimes I have to restart. The most frustrating issue is that apps such as Money and Store will not open. When I try to start them, a window will open up with the appropriate logo but nothing further happens. All I am able to do it minimize, maximize or exit the window.

I have included a link above to CBS.txt that I just completed. As you can tell, I have run the sfc /scannow at least a couple of times, maybe more. I have tried a number of solutions that I found on different webpages but no fix yet.:huh:

Since you are on Windows 10 now, it's a totally different story. Have you tried a Repair Install already?

Hey Aura, I have executed a repair install. Below is a link to the CBS file created after the install. Apps Store and Money still act same as before.

I'm not very knowledgeable about these things. I set up a free account on Dropbox but it seems the only way I can share download and edit privileges is to email a file link to you. Is there an email address I could use to do this? Looks like a paid Dropbox account is required to be able to create a public download URL.

By the way, I also tried to upload the file using the large file uploader described by niemiro at https://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-update/4736-windows-update-forum-posting-instructions.html. Each time I get the following:

To share a public download URL, simply right-click on the file on Dropbox.com, and select Share. From there, you'll see a URL at the top, copy/paste it here :)

According to your CBS.log, no corrupt files were reported. Are there any issues that needs to be addressed, system file or Windows Update-wise?

I don't think so. My issues now are with screen freezes, apps such as Store and Money not opening.

When you say that the Windows Store apps don't open, you mean that you click on them and nothing happens, or are they throwing an error message?

When I click on the Store icon or the Money icon in the task bar or the Start Menu, a window opens up with the appropriate logo but nothing further happens. All I am able to do it minimize, maximize or exit the window.
