J jiy8szh Member Joined Jul 8, 2016 Posts 5 Jul 8, 2016 #1 Hello Everyone, my laptop had upgrade to windows 8.1(version 6.3 build 9600) recently. after i finish installing all the required software and upgrades the problem pop-up. the IE 11 can not be open and there is no response at all after starting the program, no session running in the background neither. Some program like Adobe Reader popup the "bad image" error on starting up telling that C:\windows\system32\ieframe.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your administrator or the software vendor for support. If you have your Windows 8.1 on a USB or CD or something, running it and clicking repair fixes the corruptions. If you don't have one, creating a bootable USB is pretty easy and straight forward. You could refresh your windows (I honestly dislike this, you end up back at windows 8, redownloading all the updates just to get back to 8.1) The one I honestly recommend and has helped me out of numerous jams is using the tweaking.com Window's repair all in one. IE 11 still can not be open and there is no response at all after starting the program, no session running in the background neither. chrome works without any problem.
